Okay long story short. I have a few MT1000 99 channel low band portables now. I'm thinking they are mid split, but will not know until I open them up.. (waiting on programming cable)
If they are mid split, and I want high split, would it be possible to swap some parts out of a high split (low band) 6 channel MT1000 so I could have/make a 99 channel low band high split? I would eventually like to get this into the ham bands, but at this current time its only needed for 46-49 rx.

Some of the parts? It would be easier to take the main RF boards and swap them between the two frames. That would give you a 6 channel mid split and 99 channel high split.unlisted wrote:Okay long story short. I have a few MT1000 99 channel low band portables now. Re: MT1000, interchangeable parts?
I had been informed you could not just simply "swap" RF boards, hence the question.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes you can "swap" the RF board, but you will have to re-align the radio due to the RF board and range changing.unlisted wrote:I had been informed you could not just simply "swap" RF boards, hence the question.

The alignment points are stored in the controller and are different for a different range split.
