Hello.
Where can I find information on how to measure the values of adjustment options found in the screens below:

One of maxtrac I am completely lost here in the data set these two screens.

In the first screen you show, hook up a terminated watt meter and hit F6 to toggle the PTT and step thur each frequency and set it to the rated power.
On the second screen you show, inject a 1k tone at limiting into the mic connector, F6 to toggle PTT and step thru the freqs and adjust for 4.5kc deviation on a service monitor (or less for the 900 narrowband model)

Re: Maxtrac align procedure
Hmmmm ok. Understood. But the question is how do I convert the value read on the watt meter and insert in the program?
Example, in section 1 of the first point, the frequency of TX is 804.8625MHz.
I think it would adjust the power to 15W (for radio that I am working) on the previous menu, and adjust to the same frequency and 15W at each point of adjustment on the first screen above?

Re: Maxtrac align procedure
The value in the software has no meaning, besides a relative adjustment value. Think of it as the computer version of a potentiometer (softpot). Hook the radio up as instructed, hit Toggle PTT, then adjust the value up or down until the wattmeter indicates the desired value (proper value varies depending on what model of radio you have... either 15 or 35 watts for 800).
For deviation, inject tone, then adjust the softpots while watching the demodulated audio with a service monitor, and set to the appropriate value for the model under test.

Re: Maxtrac align procedure
Ok, to finish, step by step:
F2 - put the values found in the crystal and the label inside the shielding, and value measured in J6-1
F3 - Connect wattmeter and adjust to 15W (in my case) in frequency of 825.1625MHz.
F4 - Connect a frequency counter (or monitor service) and to adjust the WARP to exactly 825.1625MHz.
F5 - Set all 32 points for 15W measured on wattmeter.
F6 - inject a 1kHz signal at the microphone connector, and adjust for the same deviation (4.5kHz) in all 32 points.
F7 - ???
F8 - ???
Calibration completed.
What values used on F7 - Total Deviation w/PL and F8 - Total Deviation w/DPL?

F7 set the deviation to 4.5 - 4.8 kHz deviation with the 1kHz input to the mic jack and turned up to limiting.Fudeba wrote:Ok, to finish, step by step:

F8 same procedure as above.
