Was MT2000 Available in 800 Trunking 'Privacy Plus' version?

Post by Leadenwah »

Was the MT2000 ever available in 800MHz "Privacy Plus" ( B ) version.
I thought that there might have been some of these, but believed
Smartnet was not available until the MTX series was introduced.
I see quite a few Conventional 800 ( A ) models, but I don't need those.

The MT2000 was never available with trunking, it was always a conventional only model. You'd need to get your hands on an MTX8000/838 or appropriately flashed MTS2000 to get trunking capability.

Thanks,
I was afraid that was the case.
I've had several MT2000 VHF & UHF which scanned 15 channels rather than just 10.
I had hoped that I'd find that feature in a trunking 800 MT2000.

Wishful thinking, actually.

The models I mentioned above also scan 15 members in conventional. You need to modify the RSS to allow 15 members in trunking. The instructions are here on the board if you do a search.
