PURC5000 PL Encode

Post by ke4zdg »

Hey folks,

My PURC5000 manual says that Advanced Control is capable of PL and DPL encode on the transmitted signal. However, it says that the option was not available at the time of the manual printing. Does anyone know if that option was ever implemented in any version of firmware? I'm just trying to figure out if I need to blow $30 on a PL encoder board, or if I need to go on a wild goose chase to hunt down other Advanced Controllers for later firmware.

Thanks,

Jared

While my knowledge of the PURC 5k is nowhere near encyclopedic, I don't believe I've ever seen that feature in the menu system, and I've dug around a fair bit. I have a UHF PURC with a Micor RX tray as a repeater, needed to add the PL board externally.

Just like scanning repeater in an MSF5K CXB, Great idea, apparently never implemented.
