Another 6D Core Question

Post by aamster »

I have recently received a Saber 1 VHF H43QSN7139CN the Frequency Range is 148Mhz - 174Mhz. I am trying to get this down to the 144Mhz area. When I go to make a new code plug it will do so but it makes it as a 5D Core and of course when you go to write to the Code Plug it will not do so. I also received a similiar radio except it is the H33 and it only has the 5D core. I was able to bring this down and make it work just fine in the 144Mhg range.

Any Ideas? For the information of the group these radios are from "Computer Surplus" They were the ones recently on Ebay. ALL parts are there and the inside of the radios look good. The cases are a little rough tho!! I do believe they are government from the frequencies I am reading. They do work!!

You need to go into the "Radio Features " menu in the RSS and select 6D option. That should do it for you if in fact you have a 6D radio.

The only reference I have to Radio Features is under F4 which says "Radio Feature Options" There are two pages or 24 "H" numbers. I see no reference to the the 6D Core.

Is it possible I have an early version of the RSS software. I did not know if we could list the number being used or not.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Al, you need to scroll down the options and you should see 6D near the bottom of the list, if you don't find it there then shoot me an email at [email protected] .
