MCX100 and RR Syntor proms

Post by RADIOMAN2002 »

I know both of these radios use the same proms either the 82s129 or 131. Are they programmed the same format?
I have a few proms from some RR Syntors and I would like to install them in a few MCX100's I have. Other wise whats my options?

To bump this thread and at the same time looking for additional information. Are both of these radios programmed with the R-1800 and if so do they use the same program? I tried putting the RR prom in the MCX-100 and NO-GO. So I would assume that they are configured differently in the prom.Would the after market EE-Prom replacement that is offered for ham radio work?
