Repeater Construction?

Looking to build a repeater... is this possible with two mobile radios such as a two CM300's or similar, looking to use vhf band, would this be possible using the multi pin plugs on the back, or would it require some type of control circuit? If so what would I need. Looking to do this as cheaply as possible... Thanks Guys.

You need two radios, a duplexer, and some kind of control system. What service do you intend to use this repeater for? Do you have a license, ham or otherwise? How large an area do you need to cover in square miles? What kind of antenna structure do you have available? These are just a few of the basic questions you need to research before anyone can give you any real help on this project. Post some more information and let's see how we can help you.
