GR1225/R1225 question

Post by Cam »

On a R1225 mounted in a GR1225 desktop housing which is the rx connector and which is the tx connector? I'm guessing that the RX is in the front and the TX is in the rear with the heat sink but I really an just guessing.

As why would it have a RJ45 ( 8P8C ) connector with two pins jumped plugged into the front mic jack?

You are correct....the RX input is on the front where the multiconductor cable connector is located, and the TX output is near one end of the heatsink and power connector on the rear of the R1225.
The 8 pin jack most likely has a jumpered plug inserted to emulate a mic that's 'on hook' to enable the rx coded squelch. I'm assuming that pins 3 & 4 are jumpered on the dummy plug, of course.

Thinks guys. I don't know why Moto can't print that on there but whatever.

Yes it is pins 3 and 4 that are jumped.

Again, thanks for your help.
