XTS 5000 and MTSXlabs
Hi I have a XTS 5000 and all I want to do is clone a mates and i dont have the correct cps but I have nearly all MTSX but when I try to read it I get the TX bus line error, can anyone help
Re: XTS 5000 and MTSXlabs
That's because MTSX Lab will not work on a XTS 5000.
You can certainly clone programming information from one to the other using CPS (either the direct clone feature or the drag and drop feature), but you can't copy a flashcode, etc.

will cloning also clone the Inhibit status ?

Bongo - considering you've already likely turned an MCS2K into a brick, I'd suggest you slow down, take a deep breath, and do some in-depth reading before you start screwing around with lab software, lest you either kill another radio or make it not function properly (like nuking alignment values).

Bongo, I think Peter's statement summed it up for you... MTSX Lab won't work on the Astro25 product line. If you don't have the correct CPS package to accomplish what you need to do, I suggest you contact Motorola and purchase it.

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

But even using the correct SW won't bring an inhibited 5K back to life.
