Programming Sidebuttons on a Saber 2

Post by tssinternational »

I have a Saber 2 UHF 2k memory, and can't figure out how to program the two side buttons under neath the PTT. I know the button on top of the PTT is a dedicated monitor button, but how or what do the two buttons underneath do?
The department I work for has paid between $3000 and $6000 for the XTS 5000 which makes me think Motorola names their radios with the sale price included 8) -oscarray

Sabers were made in three core versions, 5D, 6D, and 8D. The two small side buttons don't
work with the 5D core, which is probably what you have in your Saber II. Their purpose is to
do emergency signalling. They're called RAT buttons.
