Figure out impres chrager firmware?

Post by PhillyPhoto »

Is there anyway to tell what firmware is in a single impres charger? I'd rather be able to have someone "read" it and let me know instead of paying for the bump if it's not needed.

Well you could always look at the bottom label, it has the version on it. But if you didn't buy it new, then it could have been bumped to something higher then what the label shows...

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

other option is to hack in a display a'la batdude, but if your display firmware is current and the charger firmware is old the display might not light up

if anything it would be a good indicator whether the firmware was current or not

I didn't even think to check the sticker. Thanks.

What does a charger firmware bump run nowadays?
