System Saber RSS reads will not write

I have a System Saber III that was programmed with RSS Ver. R04.00.00 I have ver. R03.00.02 I can read the radio but the RSS will not let me write to it. The RSS Ver. R03 reports that it is the wrong radio model. The radio is CON-7, But ver. R03 only goes to CON-6. When I read the radio and look at the model number it shows several "?" marks where the model number should be. I have tried to build a new Codeplug and entering CON-4 (I have other radios exactly like this one that are CON-4) and writing to the radio but the RSS still says the model number is wrong.

Is there any way to get the radio to except a code plug from my version?

Thanks for the info. It took the R04.00.02 RSS to program that radio.
