MT1000 programming issue

Post by csp2839 »

Hi all, new user here with a problem that hopefully someone can help me shed some light on.
I am trying to program my MT1000 (8 ch, UHF) with an aftermarket RIB. I am able to read the radio, get into the code plug to change the PL's and frequencies and all...but when I go to write to the radio, I get an error message "Programmer is not compatible with radio".

I have had this radio and RIB forever, but never had the occasion to use it until recently. I did try 3 different versions of the RSS and I am running it on a 400 mhz pentium PC (the slowest computer I have at home!).

Thanks in advance!

What radios do you own?: What's a radio?

Your slow pentium is not slow enough. You need to find something like a 25 MHz 486.

So if I obtain something slower that should resolve the issue? Because I am also looking for another radio and want to be able to program that as well.

Thanks Dave!

It should resolve your issue, also the MT1000 is a very old program which requires PURE DOS, not a Windows DOS shell.
