GP360 help, please

Post by eagle844 »

I am looking at purchasing a GP360. I am asking if this radio can be converted to a HT1250 so i can use the us base software. If so what needs to be done? Also, What cable do I need to program the HT1250 and GP360? I have been looking around on ebay and it a little confusing. Could any of you please help me out step by step. It appears that the GP series are not es expensive as the HT series radios. My budget is $250.00. So i am looking at the GP series radio.

Thank you al for your help and responses.

If you live in the US this might be a proposition filled with potential trouble. The 360 is a European radio and Motorola probably does not support it in the US. I don't know if the RSS is the same as a 1250 or not but it might not be, which is trouble point #2. I'd do a lot of Board searching before I committed even five cents to this kind of deal. Current UK price of a 360 is about USD$500 and you can buy a pretty decent US-supported Motorola radio for that kind of money these days.
