Codeplug Question

Post by RadAct »

Is asking for a copy of a codeplug the same as asking for software? If yes, disregard this.

If no, here is what I need. I have a friend that gave me an MCS2000 VHF Model 1 radio and it has a corrupt codeplug. I was thinking if I had a good one I could blow it in and maybe it will correct the problem.

What do you all think? If someone happens to have this model radio and would be willing to send me a copy of your codeplug that would be great. You could clear all your data except for one test channel and then I could do a build from there.

If this is acceptable, thanks all in advance. Email address is : radact at juno dot com to send code plug.

I don't have any VHF radios to help you with. All the ones I have are UHF.

On another note, the MCS2000 radios are very sensitive to RIB low voltage on programming. They
don't like to be programmed with a Polaris RIB due to this. I have on a couple of occasions, had to
take an external power supply attached to my RIB, to raise the voltage slightly to get the radio
to take a write.

This may be part of your issue if your not using a good quality RIB on this radio.

you will need to post your exact flash code for that radio, you can't just write any model one vhf codeplug to it, everything else has to match too.
