I find a CDM works great for opening pagers... I just set the pager on my bench, pick up a CDM radio, and whack!! Opens them suckers right up!

If your pagers are using two-tone sequential decoding, then the answer is yes. The CDM1250 and HT1250 can be setup to encode QCII signalling. The CDM1550 models are a little more user friendly than a CDM1250 because of the extra buttons on the front panel. After the tones are sent out, you must wait for the CDM1250 menu to time out before keying the transmitter to send your voice message. Change the menu timeout from the default 30 seconds to something much shorter. The CDM1550 and HT1250 have an exit button that will get you out of the menu quicker.

It can be done via programming option in signalling menu.
You want to encode tones to open up EMS pagers.
Any /\/\ shop with CDM/HT software can do this for you.
You can also get your pager tones programmed into your HT and CDM to alert you of a missed call.
We program most FD and EMS radio room/bases to be able to trip thier pager tones via menu options.
nothing

PTT will be used in one of thre last steps,as you have to transmit the tones over a carrier anyways
Good luck
