I need is the version number so I can buy it out right. I just didn't want to end up with the same problem after spending the big bucks for there old out dated RSS. I could call the big M, but we seem to know more about there RSS then they do lolol. my spectra is a 50 watt dash mount radio with the A7 head. I have 2, one VHF and one UHF

You already have the latest version. What are you using for programming hardware? Many aftermarket & homebrewed RIBs cannot handle Spectra programming.

Do you have the same error on both Spectras?
What cables are you using, OEM or after market?

no , it works fine on my VHF spectra, when I try to read my UHF spectra. it doesn't work. same set up. buy the way. I haven't had internet for a very long time. that's why I never replied to my post.. thanks for the help with that problem. I still haven"t gone back to it.

I would more lean on the computer clock is too fast for the radio. I have seen different
radio react differently to a clock speed being too fast. Sometimes you can get away
with it and other times you can't. part of it depends on just how your computer
handles the serial port data flow.
Try to slow the computer down. Many of the older computers have a dual clock
setting you can change.

Not a computer clock problem. Most probably a bad control head. Try swapping control heads.kb2cxj wrote:no , it works fine on my VHF spectra, when I try to read my UHF spectra. it doesn't work. ....
