XTL2500 programming question

Post by krewl1 »

I am having a problem on how to figure out why this radio will not display which car or officer is talking (reverse aliasing) when they key up the mic. It only says the town. The radio does transmit the id so our portables see it but for some reason I must be missing something stupid. I appreciate any input or I can also send my cpg file if it is easier.

Thanks in advance

What's your Flashcode?

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Have you:

A) checked "ID Display" and "Scan ID Display" under Menu & Controls?

B) created an MDC call list with the aliases you want to decode?

C) tagged that call list to the "Conventional Personality" employed for the channels on which you want the display to show?

Then it is most likely a flash issue, though I had thought that G48 included User ID.
