Hello All!
I Have a quick question.
I have the capabilities to program HT-1000 radios. The problem I am having is everytime I read one I always get the following error.
TSR Interference
High background Noise
Please correct and try again.
I was just curious what am I doing wrong and some possible problems and solutions to correct the problems.
I seem to only have problems with the HT-1000.
I don't have a bit of problems with Mt/MTS-2000 and other Jedi series radios.
any answers would greatly be appreciated
Thanks
David

Had the same problem with a Windows based machine, switched over to a 486 running DOS and no longer got that error.

Re: HT-1000 Programming
David, Are you running the HT/JT/Visar RSS in pure DOS mode? If you're trying to run this software using any O/S newer than Windows98 (INCLUDING Windows98 SE) and are using VM to emulate DOS you may encounter freaky little problems like this. Also, aftermarket cables, especially the ribless ones, can cause you misery with Jedi radios.
All of that said, make sure nothing else on your computer is opened and running that shares the same com port as your RIB. Internal dial-up modems and other devices and their drivers can interfere with the RIB if they're using the same COM port. Close all other running programs when using the RSS..
Always read and understand the "Read Me" document that comes with your Motorola RSS and CPS. If you follow the basic requirements when using Motorola software, your problems will be few or none.
