Hi,
I have 2 Motorola Radius GP1200 radios, which I am interested in converting to use the PMR446 band.
I have figured out that I need to get them to stop being trunked, and then program the channels. - But how do I do this?
I have a ribless cable and an old laptop running windows 95. I have dozens of Motorola RSS programs, and am at quite a loss as to which I should use.
I am also new to programming in general, as well as to radios, so this is a bit of a challenge.
Also, if someone can just do this for me, for a modest fee, I would gladly send them the radios and have them do it!
Thanks in advance,
J. Hoffman

Re: GP1200 radios to PMR446 (MTS-2100?)
... Actually, I was approached by a friend today, who apparently has a GP1200 that has been flashed to work as a PMR radio, but the programming is apparently somehow faulty...
So, if someone would be willing to do all 3 radios for me, I would be much obliged!
I am at quite a loss, and more than a bit disappointed, as before I bought these, everyone was telling me that all I need to do is just reprogram it, and voila! -- Too bad this programming is way beyond my skills.
