Anyone help me with a schmatic

Post by nick.dejohn »

I have a DPDT switch that I want to use to switch a mobile microphone between 2 radios. I'm having trouble figuring this out in my head and on paper. Can anyone provide me with a schematic on how to do this?

Thanks<

It's not very hard to do. Picture the common arms of the DPDT switch to go to the mic.

One arm to be used for the PTT line. In one position it goes to radio A and in the
other position it goes to radio B.

One arm for the mic wire. Again you do the same as for the PTT line. Just make sure
that the same radio mic and PTT lines are in the same position.

Bear in mind that this is for radios that are alike. If not, you may end up with some
mic bias issues.
