Shoulder Mic Compatibility?

Post by Glenn »

I've got two HT1000's, one UHF and one VHF. Here's my question...my mic works fine on the UHF radio, but not on the VHF one. I cleaned the contacts, but nothing, only the radio speaker works. I looked in the RSS and saw nothing about setting up the side configurations for a mic. The mic model number is NMN6193C with 7 pins. Am I missing something? Thanks.

What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

sounds like your VHF may have a problem with the flex leading to the contacts or the little contact board that slides into the side of the housing is loose or misaligned. If you are "Jedi competent" I'd open the radio, check to ensure the flex is not damaged and aligned, and the PCB is inserted correctly. You could also try swapping the housing to see if the problem follows the front cover, if it doesn't, than something may be wrong with the controller board or the strip connector where the front cover flex plugs in.

The NMN6193C works on all Jedi and XTS series radios, as well as the XTS1500/2500.
