I had a PRO7150 LA model radio.
My thoughts were to use the unofficial codeplug tool to write an AA file to the radio. Then I would be able to take my existing HT1250 codeplug and program it into the radio without having to retype it.
It is Tanapa PMUD1481A and model LA25KDH9AA6AN
I'm using a genuine Motorola RKN4075A ribless programming cable.
I read the radio with global tuner OK and saved the archive. I read the radio with the CPS OK and saved the archive.
I used the unofficial codeplug tool 2.06 software, found the PMUD1481A_cp_H25KDH9AA6.0 file and programmed it to the radio.
Now all I get is EEPROM HW ERROR and can't seem to get around it. Is there anything I can do? Did I make a paperweight? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
John

Re: Converting Pro LA to AA problem
i've never seen a hw error come back to life, it looks like a trip to motorola but if you are here in the US you might have a problem getting it back since it's not supposed to be in this country. you would of been better off altering your cps to read and write both AA and LA radios and you could of just written your AA codeplug into a LA radio just by clicking on one icon. if they do fix it and send it back to you it will be a LA model again.
