XTL 5000 O3 color change

We have a handful of XTL 5000's that have the O3 handheld control head. We have not been able to change the background color on these control heads like we can on the XTL 2500s. We changed the default color and even tried to add a color button to the control head but when we write the program the soft key for color is not visible and the color has not changed. Is there something in the CPS program that I am missing or is the O3 head not capable of color change?

They should add an "invert" option to the XTL for the O3 series... that white screen is pretty damn bright at night.

Do you know where in CPS the invert options might be? Radio Wide?

No, there is not one.... I was saying they should add one.

If you added a color button to the menu of the control head, it will show up by pressing
the round multi function button to the right. Might take a couple of presses, depending
on how many buttons you have programmed in. Then just press the button under the
display that lines up with the color function you programmed.

Jim, I'm almost 100% positive that the menu item will not show up on the O3 control head. Should it show up, I am willing to bet that it would bonk on trying to access the menu.
