Decrease the Power GM300

Post by CGRESQ192 »

I have a 40W UHF GM300, can/how can I lower the power on the GM300? I was told it can be done via the RSS software.

I'd like to make it maybe 20 watts or something like that.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Its done under the service menu in the RSS. It shows a relative value in the radio and you start stepping it down. At the least you'll need a known good watt meter for your task.
May the Schwarz be with you.

And a spectrum analyzer, and an ammeter. Pay careful attention to the PA efficiency (watts produced compared to current draw) and spurs generated as you lower the power...
