XTVA question
been looking to get an xtva for my xts5000, I really like having a mobile, do they sell, or is there a way to modify a remote Motorola mobile head to connect to a xtva, what I’m looking for is the appearance and operation, the same as having a mobile when my portable is in the xtva?

No there is not. Ive seen a set up with a XTVA mounted remotley and the handset in the front of the vehicle
Re: XTVA question
You can get a hand held control head for your XTVA. Then it will look (and operate) like a W3 mobile. I used to have one & I liked it a lot. I can't remember why I sold it, seems like a bad idea now.

I have my XTVA set up in this manner. XTVA is in the rear of my explorer with the HHCH mounted on the dash. Extended the HHCH with a Cat 3 eithernet cable and coupler from the local electronics store...about $15 and works like a charm.

That is the same way We did it. One of the agencys I do work for wanted the radio mounted in the back their Tahoe so the radio could come out with the swat gear. They wanted to use the HHCH with the radio up front still.
