Hand Mic to Desk Mic on Spectra Mobile

Post by HKMP5 »

I am trying to set up a "pull out" Moto Spectra 800 Mhz Mobile (T45KGA5JC9AK) with remote Control Head as a base station in our district office. I have an old Desk Mic for a Maxtrac with the large plastic RJ45 phone / ethernet looking plug and want to convert it to work with a hand Mic cord that plugs directly in the back of the Control Head (System 9000 Part # HCN1073D).

The Hand mic cord has 5 wires color coded in Red, Black, Green, White, and Blue.

The Desk Mic (HMN1038A) has 6 wires coded in Red, Black, Green, Blue, Black, Yellow and White.

Does anyone know the pin out or if I can use 5 of the 6 wires and make it work. I would also consider a Desk Mic with the proper plug that goes in the control head of the Spectra if anyone has one or knows if they are available.

Thanks in advance if you can help.....

You can buy desk mic's pre-wired for spectra on ebay..

or:
http://www.batlabs.com/deskmic.html (not the exact same model, but I think they are all very similar)
