recurring cs error

Post by n3obl »

Got a ht1250 that initally when turned on showed eeprm cs error.

Cleared by reprogramming with lab codeplug.. Reprogrammed with original codeplug.

Stayed for a week then now shows the error again.

Is there something i need to look at?

I would suspect the original codeplug that you put back in it. I had the exact same trouble with a CDM 1250. It went back to depot 4 times and each time it would last between 3 and 10 days before going back to the error. The first 3 times it returned from depot, I used the saved archive codeplug to reprogram it. The last time I started over from scratch. It has now been over a year and no problem.

Could the watch battery in the radio cause this at all?

The LiIon cell's only function is to maintain the realtime clock when the radio's battery is removed.
