IMPRES Gang Charger

Hi, I've got a Motorola WPLN4121BR (no display) that I've recently upgraded to firmware v3.4 and I'm unable to charge a HT1000 non-impres battery. I have a single unit impres charger that the HT1000 battery works fine with, however when the same battery is placed in the gang charger, I get a red rapid flash light. Also I am unable to "force" a good IMPRES XTS5000 battery into recondition mode. Any ideas?
