Replacement for Maratrac

Post by Robert Looper »

I LOVE my Maratrac, but it doesn't have nuisance delete which is a PITA. I have seen Spectra, Syntor and a few others in remote mount 110 watt VHF with a A-9 style heads. Which one has a nuisance delete feature and do any of those have more than one bank capability or do narrow band? Thanks, Robert

The Spectra in the A9 configuration has the nuisance delete feature. They also have the Zone capability on the later Hi Power.

Youre gonna have to bite the bullet to a newer gen radio to get 2.5khz narrowband, especially to be able to tune splinter channels.

Astro Spectra, XTL2500/5000, or a PM1500 will do it, if you need to stay at the 110W high power radio.

W9 Astro Spectra would probably by my choice. Most similar to what you have.
