CDM750 Squelch Softpot Values?

Post by STicKman »

Does anyone know roughly the factory default softpot values for the squelch adjust in the Global Tuner? What dbm value does Motorola use for the squelch opening?

Also, is there a chart reference of any sort which may help translate a particular softpot value to the rough squelch gate opening value?

Thanks.

There is no default, nor is there a defined softpot value that translates to a certain squelch level. That's why it's called alignment - every radio has minor variations, so what's proper for one is off for another. The correct way to set the squelch level is with a service monitor... the easy way is to turn it up until the squelch closes and doesn't open except when a valid signal is detected.
