Saber only works when hot

My saber only work after laying on the seat of the truck in the hot sun.

The PLL of the radio probably needs to be realigned, if it only locks in when hot. Do other frequencies lower/higher work?

is it completely dead ???? the battery contacts are clean .... aftermarket battery's may have deformed (low) contacts and when the battery gets hot it makes contact ... or there could be a bad solder joint on the board causing a no power condition until the motherboard gets "warm" and causes it to flex a little making contact .
