I have a charger sitting here laughing at me everytime I try and put my MTS-2000 FlashPort radio on to charge. The stand will blink the red charging triangle but do nothing to charge it.
Any ideas or suggestions??

You have, or should have, at least two batteries for that radio. If such is the case, what happens when you try the other battery? Red flashing light is the common sign of a bad battery.

Re: MTS2000 F/P help
Sometimes when a battery is real dead, it needs to be "shocked back to life". Give it 12 volts from a battery charger or power supply for a second. Then try it in the correct charger. This will not fix the battery, but if it works, the battery could last 5 or 7 hours after using the correct charger. Either way, you should have at least 2 batteries. This has worked for me. Yes, you need another battery. Buy two if you can, unless the radio's
operation is not all that important.
