A radio like the XTS Series can be un-Inhibited by 2 ways. The system administator of the system of the radio its on can send the command , Or Motorola Depot only . Unless you are a authentic user of the system the chances or either are slim and none and slim just left town..

I think that if the unit has been inhibited on a trunked system that only that system can uninhibit it so even if you have an mdc console and sent an un-inhibit command to the radio (ie control channel that it was last on) it would most likely ignore the mdc command. Not 100% on this so mabie somebody could clarify.

all the more reason NOT to program your 5000 dollar radio on an unauthorized system. you get what you deserve.

to enable the radio, the system administrator who inhibited it can enable it.

DEPOT is just that, the Motorola DEPOT software used at Motorola service depots that can restore the radio, though most likely they will laugh at you and tell you to kick rocks and go see the system admin of the system that turned your radio into a door stop.
