HT 1250/ CPSR06.10.04 communication errors

Post by variable4951 »

I have had the duties of programming our HT1250's dumped into my lap. I have the licensed software from Motorola, HT/CDM Series CPS R06.10.04 installed on a Windows XP machine. Every time I try to read a radio, I get the following message: "ecec000e: Read from device failed." I am using a USB to radio cable from a reputable dealer, and have tried different comports, with the same outcome. The info on the CPS is AA supported regions, and the radios I am trying it with have all "AA". Our older HT750's have no problem reading/writing via the USB cable, however when I try to read the "newer" HT1250's, all I get is the above error and the program will not launch. Any, and I mean ANY help woudl be appreciated.

Thanks

Stop using an aftermarket cable, that is your problem

So I guess it only takes a serial cable? I thought I saw in a motorola parts list a direct usb cable.

There is no OEM USB cable for the Pro Series radios.
