Dot Channels or Murs Channels???

Ok, i know this has been covered here on the board before, but i cannot find it anywhere when doing a general search. Is there any "VHF Dot Channels" or "VHF MURS Channels" that a person can LEGALLY operate on without a License? and if so what are the restrictions to these license free channels? (i.e. limited to 2 watts max, etc.)

In short, no license required, no repeaters allowed, no ID necessary, and no exclusive use of channels.

From the FCC:

Each Multi-Use Radio Service transmitter (a transmitter that operates or is intended to operate in the MURS) must be certificated in accordance with Part 95, Subpart J of the Commission’s rules. Those radio units certificated as of November 12, 2002 need not be recertificated. No MURS unit, under any condition of modulation, shall exceed 2 Watts transmitter power output.

I would highly suggest utilizing the lower 3 MURS channels 151.820, 151.880, and 151.940. The upper 2 are usually full of activity, i've learned this from personal experience. A lot of businesses think that their radios on 154.570 and 154.600 are private channels and they will try to get you to stop using "their" channels. Keep in mind that these freqs require 11.25khz spacing and power max of 2 watts.

These three MURS channels are narrow band, 2.5 khz deviation MAX..
