Modification log or file in modern moto radios codeplug?

Post by wazzzzzzzzup »

i did a search but didnt come up with anything that looked like what my question is.

does motorola include a section of the codeplug of modern radios with a log of radio changes that stays with the radio? in otherwords if a radio is read, is it possible to see any changes that have been made on various times in the past?

im curious as it seems like this is possible with todays technology

Standard run of the mill codeplug changes are not recorded in the codeplug, as far as I know. Even with modern radios, recording previous changes would be prohibitive in terms of available codeplug storage.

that would probablly take up more space than the codeplug itself. especially if it was a first time programming with a couple hundred channels

For Astro25 radios the CPS will report the date, time, and source of the last programming the radio received.
Also:
The Advanced System Keys Serial Number List allows you view the programming history of a write protected radio. The programming history data includes: the date of programming and the serial number of the iButton (of the Advanced System Key) that allowed the write-protected radio to be written-to. Up to 25 programming dates are possible.
