A friend of mine recently acquired an MTX838 and MTX8000, both in the 800 MHz band.
I am looking for any info on these radios that I can get.
He asked me to see if I could program them, but I haven't been able to find the software on MOL.
Do they use the same RSS as another Jedi portable? Any help is appreciated.

Re: 800MHz MTX838 & MTX8000
The MTX series Jedi radios use DOS based programming software. Last version 6.08. Might have to call Mot to get the part number for the software I don't recall it off the top of my head.
Now on to my next question,
What kind of info are you wanting to know? The main page has lots of info on the Jedi MTX series radios.

They use the same DOS based RSS as the MT2000 and MTS2000 Jedi radios. It's called MTSX RSS and the Motorola part number is RVN4097.jclendenen158 wrote:A friend of mine recently acquired an MTX838 and MTX8000, both in the 800 MHz band.
