MSF5000 Tone Remote

Post by ke4zdg »

What models of tone remotes work with the MSF5000 (CXB)? Been looking on the 'bay and seen several models that look like they only work w/ Desktracs.

Can't give you specific models but anything (moto, CPI, Zetron, etc...) that supports Hi level guard (2175 hz), Hi level F1 Function (1950 hz) and lo level guard continuous (2175 hz) will accomplish at least TX on channel 1. If you want monitor or to change channels like a base station, you have to have a multi function deskset that supports the additional function tones to do what you want.
