XNTi or XNTiD USB cable fabrication question

Post by jay26cee »

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can steer me in the direction of info on the programming cable specs. Is it simply a non-standard USB to mini USB pinout configuration which makes this cable different from standard USB cables or is there something else?

I have tried a standard USB cable where the PC sees the radio, but that's about it.

Just spent a lot of money on a radio only to find that there are features which only appear to be available via CPS software (which free download from Motorola).

I have read about people refering to serial cables (vs USB) which apparently work, but I am not certain is this applies to the XTNi(D) models. Information is scarce!

Thanks.

JC
