ex600 as racing radio help needed
Got a great deal on a set of ex-600xls radios, with some Racing Radios Headsets when CART went bankrupt. Problem is there are NO cords for the headsets! The radios all have an accessory adaptor on the side that turns the plug needed into a 3.5mm threaded plug ( I think this is the VISAR and HT-1000 type?). Motorola wants $150+ just for a cord, and I need 6 of them. I was hoping to make the cords myself from four wire cable, three conductor 3.5mm jacks AND the impossible to find or even get a name for 5 pin circular quick disconnect connector on the headsets.
Anyone know what these 5 pin XLR like connectors are called?
How about where I can get some?
THANKS!!

Mouser only shows DIN and XLR connectors, but these headsets are different than those. Mil Spec?
Any racing radio Gurus out there can point me to a source for ready to use cables at a reasonable price?

Those are probably hirose connectors, similar to what's on a keyloader cable. Got pix?
No, I will not fix your computer. Call back during NORMAL business hours.

They are all Dave Clark/Racing Radios Headsets. I have the same connector on an Avcomm Headset. These headsets all have boom Mics and a PTT buttons on the ear cup.
Here are some pics ( I hope):

Most of the David-Clarkes that we have are hirose connectors.
Re: ex600 as racing radio help needed
That is a Mini XLR connector . Cables are available for these headsets for most radios.

If you're looking for U.S.-made mini XLRs, look at the Switchcraft line at Mouser or Digikey. Judging by your photo, what you have is a Tini Q-G Switchcraft p/n TA5FL or TA5F.
