Spectra Dual (Rear) Head Help!!!

Post by mfdeng5 »

Hi guys, i have an A-9 Spectra ive had for a while.....i decided to hook up a dual head to it. I connected my other cable to the dual head HCN1076D (Rear).......i went into software and enabled Dual Head i named the remote name and all.......when i programmed it the main head is fine.....the REAR Head shows the remote name only? Not any of the Mode names like on main unit? I can hear the transmissions but thats it? On the HCN1076D head their is a yellow F/R and a yellow VRS button?????? Am i missing something?

I've not been around the dual head spectra for a while, but on the dual head syntor 9000, you had to program a button on both control heads to switch between what control head had actual control of the radio. The F/R button stands for Front/Rear that is the button that switches heads, you need that on the front one also if you want to switch it up front. Make sure it is set to do that in the programming

With a codeplug loaded, from the home screen F4>F6>F2 then scroll to the button you want to program as the front/rear selection and make it F/R. Load that codeplug into your radio & that's all there is to it.
