JT-1000 Help

Hello All!

I need help. Ijust bought a Jt-1000 and it worked good.

I read the radio with my good software and it read fine. I went to change the time out timer setting from 120 sec back to 60 sec like my other radios.

Well when I went to program the data in the radio, the radio went into error code FAIL 01/82. All I did was change the tot setting and then it locked up. The radio will not do anything.

I am just curoius to see if this is a problem that needs to be sent to the depot or if there is some way to reset the radio.

If it is a depot issue, then someone please give me a telephone number so I can contact them about pricing.

have you tried loading a saved codeplug into the radio? are you able to read it?

That is a codeplug checksum error. Try dumping in a old codeplug. Or someone else's and cloning it in.
