GP380 system scan problem...

Hello, all. I recently programmed a GP380 for somebody and I noticed that even though I have each personality set to reference Scan List 1, if I enable scan, and then switch channels with the selector knob, the radio shuts scan off, and I must turn it on again. With any other radio, as I am sure you all know, as long as that personality is set to reference that scan list it shouldn't turn scan off. I can turn scan back on after I switch channels but it goes right off again if I change a channel. Any suggestions?
