M1225 ERROR

Post by BigJim »

I'm trying to program an M1225 and whenever I open the F8 Scan settings screen I get: RUN TIME ERROR 13------TYPE MISMATCH and when you click OK the program closes completely.

Anybody know anything about this. I have tried 2 verisions of the software, the Win98 and the Win2000, both with the same error. The strange thing is I have programmed this radio before with no problems.

Anybody have a codeplug I could use to clone?? VHF 40 Watt 24 CH.

Any help appreciated!!!

Thanks, BJ

Have you changed computers since your last programming?

Jim

Just curious, are all 24 channels programmed and are you using alpha tags? The M1225 was crippled by its low memory capacity

No, only using 8 channels total. They are alpha tagged.

Well it isn't a memory issue in the radio

Very strange. When this started I had gone in and turned off the priority scan, no problems.. Added 4 more modes then went to edit the scan screen and bang, ERROR and have had the error ever since.

A friend sent me a codeplug for the same model and when I try to clone it in I get "Byte Mismatch" error. Gonna look at these codeplugs with a hex editor and try to find the differences..

Is there a way to blank out the M1225 and start over?

Feel free to chime in with any ideas.

Thanks to all!!

I was using version 4 with win 2000 when I encountered the error. Haven't found the answer yet.

Thanks
