Spectra programming trouble

Post by pmsmith »

Hello,

I am by no means an expert at this. I have 1 Spectra (just recieved a 2nd), 2 HT 1000's, MTS 9000 and a GTX that have always been self explanatory to program.

In a trade I recieved a T43KXA7JA9ak Spectra with an A9 head. The radio programmed up for the most part OK. But the recieve PL and the scan functions do not work.

I have carrier squelch for recieve and PL for TX (recieve PL is enabled under modes) a scn buttom that lights up, but no scanning (I do have a scan list).

Help????

Thank you!

OK, I figured it out.

I disabled the "hub switch" and that has it working almost perfect.

One last question.....

Is there any way to disable the beep when you push the transmit button?

Thank you again!

Yes, READ your radio. Then Disable the Securenet, then write the data back into the radio.

With Securenet enabled, then the 'beep' is part of the warning that an un-secure transmission is taking place.
