GP680 Portable 403-470Mhz
has anybody tried to push the frequency programming of GP680 down to 400.600Mhz? currently, with the RSS, anything under 403mhz returns an error. can anybody help?

Read this:
http://www.akardam.net/moto/docs/cps-oob.html.
For your case: load file dealnet.exe to hexeditor(i hope you save a copy), find and replace all instances of low limit C04A0518(403000000) to 0084D717(400000000), save file.
This mod works only for conventional channels.

Re: GP680 Portable 403-470Mhz
Thanks Sergio, I have tried it.. and it works! I have my GP680 communicating at 400.XXX now...
Just have little follow up question, is there any reason you stated, "this mod works only on conventional"?
the GP680 is MPT1327 compliant, is there any issue, if I want to join (program) this radio into an MPT1327 system, which is now operating on the same band (400mhz)?
