MSR2000 PA With Different Exciter??

Post by kb0nly »

Anyone know how to bypass the control crap on these PA's to make them work with any exciter? I know from the manual that its 400mw to 1.5w drive but applying that it doesn't do anything, no output, so i know the control circuit needs to be modified to get it working.

How??

Is this a VHF or UHF? The UHF has a separate power control supply voltage to the first stage of the PA but I don't see the same on the VHF.
