Adjusting contrast for Astro Saber

Post by N4KVE »

I just read a thread for adjusting the contrast for a W3 mike. I'm wondering if there is a way to do this for the AS3 since the display is the same? I can't find the pot either, so I am wondering if it can be done through the service menu. Thanks. GARY N4KVE.

Gary,

Slide the guts of the the saber out of the plastic shell. If you look under the screen in the center of the radio, you'll see the adjustment pot. Take a small screw driver and slightly twist it. The only way to check to see if its the contrast you like is to pop it back together. Almost like a trial and error exercise.

Hope this helps,
