Australia Member - Help Required

greetings all

i am looking for somebody in Australia who can program some radios for me

the radios are Motorola CP200 16 channel portables

i have gone through the hoops & purchased the Genuine software & Cables ect. from Motorola USA for these radios thinking that i could do it myself however i have no idea as to how to set the privacy or cell call thing or what ever you call it

i want to use these radios for a Motorsport application & am happy to pay somebody to program these radios for me either using my software or there own

or if you know somewere that i can take them to get it done it would be much appriciated

Ok so i guess we have no members on this board from Australia

is there anybody here who can offer up a sugestion as to were i can get this done or how i can do it myself

as stated earlier i am not into radio communication, my only foray into the communication world was back in the very early 80's when we played with 27Mhz gear

i have a Genuine copy of the CPS software & the cables to accive what i need done, all i need is the knowalage to do it or somebody that can let me know what i need to do

i know how to program the extra channels into the radio but dont know how to do the privacy part of the deal so nobody else can listen into our conversation

I don't know the CP200 very well, but I'm assuming you're referring to PL/DPL. If so, you have apparently misunderstood what it does. "Private Line" is a coded-squelch system. It doesn't provide voice privacy or encryption.

yes i was totaly mixed up i was confusing the CTCSS with what i thought was cell call or privacy screening

it is the CTCSS that i need help with as i need to program these radios
